The Book of Coelius, by Christopher Bradford, presents a new system of practical alchemy rooted in the Western Hermetic Tradition. Frater Alloy, a former Section Head of the Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros (IOT) in North America who has taught numerous classes pertaining to Lovecraft, Chaos Magic and wherever the twain shall meet. Alloy is still a very active member of the IOT and has worked with that organization both locally and abroad. Like his literary hero, he was born in Providence, Rhode Island and spends the vast majority of his time mining morbid media for ritually significant morsels.

He addresses the problems of contemporary Mythos magic and seeks to cooperatively revitalize it as a primary expression of the Chaos Magic current. Robin Artisson has been studying folklore and supernaturalism and practicing sorcery- in the true historical meaning of the word- for 19 years now, which is far longer than most people said he’d survive. He’s from South Louisiana, of Bernician (Anglo-Pictish) heritage, but also of Irish, Cajun and Sicilian descent. He grew up in the shadow of the last home of active and accepted supernaturalism in the United States: New Orleans, and the entire hairy, scary regions far south.

Robin is an herbalist, a devoted deep ecologist and animist, and a skilled practitioner of trance-healing and divination. By this, we mean to say that Robin spends a good deal of time inducing altered states of consciousness whereby he may interact with extra-sensory reality for the purposes of finding guidance for himself or others, or for healing purposes. Ian Corrigan – has been teaching, learning, singing and playing in the American Neopagan movement since 1976. Beginning by teaching ‘Witchcraft, Magic & the Occult’ for the Kent State University Free School, he has decades of experience in a variety of occult, pagan and magical topics. Having received his 3rd degree initiation in Celtic Traditional Wicca in the early 80s, Ian has led eclectic study groups, a traditional Wiccan coven and a Druid Grove. Ian has been well-known for decades at Pagan festivals as a bard, ritualist and teacher.

For the past 30 years Ian’s primary path has been Celtic polytheism and especially Neopagan Druidism. He is a founder of Stone Creed Grove, ADF’s oldest working congregation, and served as ADF’s first Chief Liturgist and first elected Vice Archdruid. Ian worked with Isaac to develop the ritual forms used in ADF Druidry today, and was the developer and primary author of ADF’s Dedicant basic Pagan training Program.

While Druidry is Ian’s primary path, his magical and religious studies interests include Western Tradition magic and Hermetics, world polytheisms and tribal magical systems, Tarot, Runes and the history and development of our modern Pagan ways. Ian continues to teach Celtic Paganism, trancework and magic at festivals and seminars.

Peter is a Brit of Welsh ancestry who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Linda, where he is Magister of Briar Rose, a small Coven of modern Cunningfolk. Most of these were not famous people. They were just very good at what they did. These are the quiet achievers that you won’t really get to know in a spiritual sense unless you actually work with them. As I learned from these spiritual practitioners, I noticed that they did things in certain ways that often didn’t make sense to me. The more I saw the things that “didn’t make sense” actually WORKING with spirituality in the front lines, the more I began thinking that I might be on the verge of discovering something big.  To make a long story short, I made rapid progress by learning from these “naturals”. In a way, the energies of these people “rubbed off” on me. This gave me a “good start” in my continuing exploration of The Greater Spiritual Reality.

Years later, when I once again got to the point where I was banging my proverbial head against a brick wall, my Higher Self manifested to me and gave SUPERB ADVICE that took me to the next level. This advice was, in brief: that I had to purge my “belief system” and work it all out for myself by “doing it”. . . by walking the talk. There is no other way to learn how to do all this but “to learn by doing”. And thus my task in life was finally revealed: to bring NEW spiritual knowledge and techniques to the world. . . and to create a NEW “yard stick” that people and seekers and spiritual practitioners could trust. In these times that we live in if we are going to have successful lives we have to prepare for the fact that economic times are changing. These books talk openly about how things are changing and what steps we need to take to compensate.

Born in 1962 in Bremerton, Washington State, USA, John Michael Greer was raised in a nonreligious family but developed an intense interest in spirituality, mythology, and esoteric traditions in childhood. He began studying the Golden Dawn tradition of Hermetic magic in his teens, and followed the “golden thread” of esoteric teachings into a wide range of related subjects, from martial arts and Asian mystical traditions to environmental science and sacred geometry, in the years that followed.

He attended college at Western Washington University (1980-1983) and the University of Washington (1991-1993), graduating from the latter magna cum laude in 1993 with a BA in Comparative History of Ideas. In the interval between his college years he married and worked at a variety of jobs while developing his skills as a writer. His first published book, Paths of Wisdom, a handbook of Golden Dawn cabalistic philosophy, was released by Llewellyn in 1996, and has been followed by eight other books to date.

Dissatisfaction with some aspects of the Golden Dawn system, especially its lack of contact with the realities of green nature, led him to Druidry. In 1995 he joined the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids (OBOD) began its correspondence study program, and progressed through the three degrees of Bard, Ovate and Druid, receiving his certificate as a Druid Companion of the Order in 2002. In 2003 he was honored with OBOD’s Mount Haemus Award for Druid scholarship. In 2001 he also joined the Druid fellowship Ar nDraiocht Fein (ADF). He remains active in both these organizations.

His journey to the northern chair, the seat of the Grand Archdruid in the Ancient Order of Druids in America, was made complex by the Order’s own difficulties during and after the resignation of Grand Archdruid Robert Johnson in 1998. Unbeknownst to him, his first attempt to contact AODA – after reading about it in a reference book, and finding its traditional Druid Revival approach intensely appealing – was made during the middle of this crisis and went nowhere. He finally succeeded in making contact with one of the Order’s Archdruids in 2001, only to find the Order inactive. In 2003, after a series of discussions about AODA’s potentials, he was brought into the Grand Grove as Archdruid of the East. On December 21, 2003, on the resignation of Grand Archdruid Betty Jean McCloud Reeves due to ill health, he moved to the North as the seventh Grand Archdruid of AODA.

He currently lives in Ashland, Oregon with his wife Sara, an herbalist, musician, and writer who serves as Almoner of AODA and is also active elsewhere in the contemporary Druid movement.

Kenn Day is a nationally recognized lecturer with over 15 years experience delving into the mysteries of the human spirit.

Most recently, Kenn graduated from a two year training in Systemic Constellation Work — a form of soul level therapy pioneered by Bert Hellinger in Germany. He is now a Certified Systemic Constellation Facilitator and will be offering weekend seminars in Cincinnati and other major cities with his wife Patricia who is also a trained facilitator.

Nicholaj de Mattos Frisvold is an anthropologist and psychologist who over the course of the last fifteen years been studying, both academically and practically, African and Afro-derived cults in the New World. This has led to a multiplicity of initiations into Vodou, both from Benin and Haiti, Santeria, Kimbanda, Palo Mayombe and Ifá. He makes part of the council of elders in the Ogboni society of Abeokuta, Nigeria.

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell welcome Scott Michael Stenwick to the show to discuss his pioneering work with Enochian Magic.  Scott has been doing some pioneering work with the source materials of Dr. John Dee.  He is looking at what style of ceremonial magic would have influenced Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley as they developed their system and has released the first book in what is to be a series on working with the Enochian system in a way that he feels is more straight forward than the systems based on the works of the Golden Dawn. He also has some great material on what he refers to as Banishing Fields, some innovative ways of working with Golden Dawn style ceremonial forms.

Scott Michael Stenwick was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1969.  A natural storyteller from early childhood, he was drawing pictures and assembling them into simple narratives before he could read or write.  In elementary school he was exposed to computers when his school acquired an Apple II in 1977 and has been writing and programming ever since.  He developed an interest in esoteric studies as a teenager following in the footsteps of his great-grandmother, a professional astrologer and medium, and began practicing ritual and ceremonial magick.

Scott attended Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and graduated in 1991 with a degree in psychology. In college he worked on two novels in addition to his studies but eventually decided that neither was suitable for publication without substantial revision. One of these novels recently went on to become Arcana, released in December 2009 by Pendraig Publishing. After graduation he went to work in the computer field and built a career as a software developer and information technology consultant. In this capacity he has worked for several Fortune 500 companies and designed and developed numerous business applications.

Scott lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two daughters.  After years of solitary magical and mystical work, he joined Ordo Templi Orientis in 1995 and became a Freemason in 1997.  He currently serves as a Chartered OTO Initiator and served as Master of Braden Lodge #168 for the 2002 calendar year.  In addition, he is part of a smaller magical working group that has been in operation since 2002 and performed numerous experimental workings seeking to advance the general body of magical knowledge.

Scott’s magical motto is Ananael Qaa, meaning “the secret wisdom of creation” in the Angelic language revealed to John Dee and Edward Kelley in the sixteenth century.  Under that motto he maintains a personal blog dedicated to the discussion of magical techniques, the Western Esoteric Tradition, and current events related to magick and spirituality entitled Augoeides – Spiritual Technology for a New Aeon.  Augoeides is a Greek term that refers to the Daemon or essential spiritual/magical self.

Tony has been practicing ceremonial magick since 1990. He has been running regular workshops and rituals recreating ancient magickal practices in the United States and on the east coast of Australia since 2001.

Tony Mierzwicki is the author of “Graeco-Egyptian Magick: Everyday Empowerment” and a forthcoming primer reconstructing Classical Greek religion.  He has contributed to various anthologies and magazines.  He gives regular guest appearances and lectures at various pagan, witchcraft and new age events, as has been on television and radio shows.

Tony has completed three degrees at the University of Sydney – Master of Arts, Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Science.  He served a three-year term on the Board of Directors for Cherry Hill Seminary from August 29, 2008 to September 30, 2011, of which roughly half was in the capacity of Secretary.  Tony is originally from Sydney, Australia and currently lives with his wife Jo-Ann in Huntington Beach California.

In 1979 Jo-Ann began learning her family’s magickal tradition of mysticism and witchcraft through numerous long distance phone calls to her great aunt in England, until the aunt passed away in 2002.

After practicing her family’s tradition as a solitary for many years, but wanting more, she was initiated and coven trained in 2001 through The Wiccan Order of Bast. She continued her training and in 2006 received the Priesthood degree through The Hermetic Order of the Wiccan Mysteries.  Both of these coven lineages are through the Druidic Craft of the Wise of America (DCWA) based out of Eye of the Cat in Long Beach, California, which in turn came from the Druidic Craft of the Wise (DCW) in England.

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell are joined by Donald Tyson to discuss The Demonology of King James I, his research on King James I and a work penned by the former King of England entitled Demonology.

King James I, is one of the most influential people in religious history.  He commissioned the King James Bible, the first full English translation of the Christian Scriptures.  Written directly by his own hand, Demonology, shows that he believed himself to be an instrument of God.  King James believed in a literal Satan and that his mission was to seek out and kill “witches”, who he believed acted directly as Satan’s ministers . He was convinced that they had tried to cast spells to kill him on numerous occasions.  King James I, declared all magical practices to be unlawful and of the direct power of Satan;  Unlike Queen Elizabeth I, who reigned just before him and believed magic to be a natural ability that she only outlawed in the context of being used for criminal acts. The misconceptions made about magic and occult practices in Demonology, have been a part of Christian thought ever since and the effects are felt in our community to this day.

Donald Tyson is a Canadian from Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Early in life he was drawn to science by an intense fascination with astronomy, building a telescope by hand when he was eight.  He began university seeking a science degree, but became disillusioned with the aridity and futility of a mechanistic view of the universe and shifted his major to English.  After graduating with honors he has pursued a writing career.

Now he devotes his life to the attainment of a complete gnosis of the art of magic in theory and practice.  His purpose is to formulate an accessible system of personal training composed of East and West, past and present, that will help the individual discover the reason for one’s existence and a way to fulfill it.

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell are joined by one of Jason’s long time partners in crime, Jason Robinson of the Ohio Exploration Society, to discuss past adventures in both Urban Exploration and Paranormal Investigation!

OES Founder Jason Robinson has always had an interest in the unknown and unexplained.  He enjoyed watching television shows like “Unsolved Mysteries,” and later “Sightings,” and enjoyed hearing other people’s stories about the strange things they had experienced.  It wasn’t until Jason was attending college at Denison University in 1998-99, that his interest in the paranormal was further solidified when he had his first personal encounter with the paranormal…an unseen hand that touched his shoulder one night as he typed a paper in his dorm room.  In the spring of 2000, Jason purchased his first digital camera, a simple 1-megapixel point-and-shoot (a pretty nice camera at the time).  That is when he discovered an emerging hobby known as Urban Exploration.  Jason decided to check out a few abandoned graveyards and old buildings, taking photos along the way.  A few of his close friends decided to join on his adventures and the Ohio Exploration Society was formed, thus combining Jason’s interest of abandoned locations and history with his interest in the paranormal.  Throughout the past 12 years, the OES has often passively, or sometimes actively,  investigated the locations they explore.

Founded in the summer of 2000, the OES is a group of urban explorers who visit both well-known historical locations and those forgotten with time.  Members of the Ohio Exploration Society research and photograph locations that include everything from abandoned buildings to rural cemeteries to ancient Indian mounds to wonders of nature.  They publish their research and photos on the Ohio Exploration Society website in an attempt to preserve the history and the memory of these important sites.  Within the website you’ll find videos that were shot on location, 360º interactive panoramic photos, thousands of digital photos and the stories behind the places we’ve visited throughout the years.

In addition to documenting Ohio’s forgotten and historical sites, the Ohio Exploration Society offers paranormal investigations to property owners free of charge.  Unlike some paranormal groups (or fan clubs) who emulate what they have seen on paranormal television shows, the OES has developed their own investigative techniques.  The team focuses on physical research by using video recorders, digital cameras, audio recorders and other equipment combined with historical research to document paranormal events.

Deborah Lipp is the author of five books: The Study of Witchcraft,  The Elements of Ritual,  The Way of Four,  The Way of Four Spellbook  and The Ultimate James Bond Fan Book.  One of these things is not like the others.

Deborah became a Gardnerian Witch in 1982 and a High Priestess in 1986,  and has been teaching Wicca and running Pagan circles ever since.  She’s been published in many Pagan publications,  including newWitch,  The Llewellyn Magical Almanac,  Pangaia,  Green Egg,  and The Druid’s Progress,  as well as Mothering Magazine.  She has lectured at numerous Pagan festivals on a variety of topics.

Siuda graduated from Mundelein College (now part of Loyola University) in Chicago in 1991.    She subsequently enrolled in the Egyptology program at the University of Chicago,  obtaining a master’s degree in Egyptology with a concentration in Philology in August 2000.   She also earned a master’s in December 2007 through the Coptic Studies program at Macquarie University in Sydney,  Australia.

Siuda founded the group which would become Kemetic Orthodoxy in 1988 after an experience during a Wiccan initiation ritual in which she is said to have been called by the ancient Egyptian deities to revive their worship.   She left Wicca and began study and worship in ancient Egyptian religion with friends and students.  In 1993, this group of people had grown substantially, and gained legal recognition as the House of Netjer Kemetic Orthodox Temple.   In 1999, the House of Netjer, and the Kemetic Orthodox Faith, were granted 501(c)(3) status.

In October 1996,  following what is believed to be divine approval via oracles and ritual,  Siuda traveled to Egypt and underwent coronation rituals and assumed the religious title of Nisut,  meaning “Authority” or “Incarnation”.    In this capacity she is considered to be the mortal carrier of a divine spirit, by way of an aspect of the god Horus,  known as the “kingly ka.” In this capacity,  Siuda provides spiritual guidance and leadership for members of Kemetic Orthodoxy.  Devotees of Kemetic Orthodoxy often refer to Siuda as Hemet, meaning “servant” or “majesty.”

Vernor is a May 2010 graduate with Presidents List Honor Roll from Brown Mackie College, with dual associates degrees in Business Management and Criminal Justice.  He is the co-founder and publisher of Dark Moon Press, author or a growing list of his own solo titles, as well as an accomplished editor returning rare, out of print occult books back to the community. Selena Fox is a psychotherapist, teacher, writer, photographer, ritual performance artist, and Priestess. She is founder and co-executive director of Circle Sanctuary, an international Nature Spirituality resource center headquartered on a 200-acre Nature preserve in southwestern Wisconsin, USA.

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell are honored to welcome Lon Milo Duquette to the show.

Born 1948 in Long Beach California, and raised in Columbus Nebraska — 1960s radical Peace activist and Epic Records song-writer and recording artist (Charley D. & Milo) he transformed himself into author, holy-man, humorist, wizard.  Author of 16 critically acclaimed books (translated in 12 languages) on magick and the occult, Lon Milo DuQuette is one of the most respected and entertaining writers and lecturers in the field of the Western Mystery Traditions.

He is an internationally recognized authority on tarot and ceremonial magick.  Reviewers have compared his wit and writing style to that of Mark Twain and Robert Benchley.  Audiences at his workshops and seminars describe the experience as a cascade of mesmerizing information, laughter and terror.

Komande la Menfo DaGinen is a Mambo Asogwe of Haitian Orthodox Vodou.  Mambo Vye Zo’s journey to a djevo(the sacred initiatory chamber) in Jacmel, Haiti began 20 years ago when The Opener made Himself known to her, and became a guiding force in her life. All through her occult practice, Papa has shown the way, to stronger ritual, clearer vision and deeper faith.

In 1999, Mambo made a promise to serve Legba fully in Vodou, if he would open the way for her to do so. She found the opportunity to go to Haiti in January of 2003, and fulfilled her promise to serve in the capacity as Mambo.  During her time in the djevo, the Lwa told her initiators that she was to be elevated to full rank, to be consecrated as Mambo Asogwe.  She took the asson under a full moon during her suleliye ceremony.

She was crowned Mambo Vye Zo Komande la Menfo DaGinen (Old Bones  Commands With a Strong Hand, of Ginen) in January of 2003

It was Mambo Vye Zo’s initiatory oath to the Lwa that she would strive to help gain recognition and validation for the Vodou faith.  Her work as Mambo is dedicated to showing the world how beautiful the Vodou faith is, how generous the Lwa can be and how Vodou is the footprint for many of the faiths in the world today.  She accomplishes this through ritual, art and teaching.

When asked why she does this work, her answer is simple “Because when I call to  the Lwa, they answer.”

Andrieh Vitimus has come to the table with a background of many years of spiritual based magical practice.  Jason Colwell spent as many years tracking the appearances of spirits into the mundane lives of clients.  They have spent several years trading war stories and techniques. This episode, they discuss not only their personal ideas on how the spirit world functions, but also experiments they are working on to document spirit phenomena during rituals, as well as past trials.

Jason Miller (Rev. Inominandum) has devoted the last 17 years to studying Witchcraft and Magick in its many forms. He has traveled to and lived in New Orleans to study Hoodoo, in Europe to study Witchcraft, and in Nepal to study tantra. Andrieh Vitimus and Jason Colwell; your beloved hosts discuss techniques for when life just doesn’t go your way.  These are not easy times that we are currently living in. It is easy to get stressed out.  You may even currently be between jobs.  However;  there are practical techniques that you can use to keep you head in the game and turn your situation around!

His background in occult study and practice is extensive: in 1970, following a near-death experience, and a mystic vision, he became the founder of The Ordo Templi Astartes (O.T.A.). which is now America’s oldest continually operating Ritual magick Lodge.  In 1980 Runyon received his Master’s Degree in cultural anthropology from California State University at Northridge, specializing in Magick. After graduate school he went through all the degrees of Freemasonry in both the Scottish and York Rites.

He then undertook an intense series of Tibetan tantric initiations and training sessions under the direction of H.E. Luding Khen Rinpoche of The Sakya Order, mastering the Vajra Yogini (Goddess of the Sorcerers) system.  Runyon later received the Kalachakra initiation from H.H. The Dalai Lama.

Carroll Runyon has served as an officer in three active Golden Dawn temples. His articles on Magick and the Western Tradition have appeared in Gnostica magazine, and his Order’s journal The Seventh Ray.  His most noted contribution to the post W.W. II occult revival has been his rediscovery, and subsequent development, of the facial reflection/distortion dark mirror scrying method for magical evocation. In 1974 he appeared as a guest on Tom Snyder’s network television Tomorrow Show narrating film footage of O.T.A. magical operations. In 1996, through his Church (The Church of the Hermetic Sciences, Inc.) Runyon wrote, produced and narrated a 75 minute video documentary entitled: The Magick of Solomon, and also authored its companion book The Book of Solomon’s Magick.

Ian Corrigan – has been teaching, learning, singing and playing in the American Neopagan movement since 1976. Beginning by teaching ‘Witchcraft, Magic & the Occult’ for the Kent State University Free School, he has decades of experience in a variety of occult, pagan and magical topics. Having received his 3rd degree initiation in Celtic Traditional Wicca in the early 80s, Ian has led eclectic study groups, a traditional Wiccan coven and a Druid Grove.
